Drive: 346 km
21-41 degC, even hotter!
We
had a lovely walk before breakfast and the temperature was just right. Packed up after breakfast and were on the
road by 9:50am. First stop was the
Service Centre just outside Yass for diesel for the truck and coffee for us.
Onwards we drove and stopped in Holbrook for lunch. A quick sandwich and a wander around the
outside of HMAS Otway and we were back in the car on the road again. It was already 38 degC by this time so we
were happy to be inside with the aircon on.
Research on Wikicamps had told us that the Wodonga Caravan and Cabin Park was probably the better park in Wodonga, so we made a phone call and booked a spot for two nights. About 45 minutes later we were checking in (site #25). It’s a small park, with small but very clean amenities. They even have a shower mat in each shower! It was a little over 41 degC as we were setting up, which is not pleasant, but because we have the procedure squared away, it did not take us long. An ice cream helped cool us down!
