Day 25: Fri 12 Jan – Weetangera

The other reason for having dinner at Phil and Sandy’s last night was so that we could pick up their Brompton bikes they had very kindly agreed to lend to us for a few days just so we could give them a proper ride to get the feel.  After 20km, we were back home.  Wendy is still not convinced the bike is a real touring bike as it only has 6 gears and was quite difficult to ride up the smallest of hills.  She admits it is very convenient if you had to hop on and off trains and buses, but you still need to take your luggage off to do that. Also, it will be difficult to attach a quad lock for navigational purposes. Greg is quite convinced he needs one!

It was then time for Wendy to play Aunty kid-sitter whilst Suz went to Melbourne for the weekend and Dale went to work.  Greg was working really hard on the screen – of course!!  We got on OK, and it wasn’t long before daddy was home and the kids were happy.

Had pizza for dinner.
